Beloved show Morning Live will be off viewers’ screens during the festive period.

The magazine programme – which usually airs on weekday mornings on BBC One – will make its comeback from January 6 onwards.

ITV rival This Morning is to continue on, including an episode airing on Christmas Day.

Emma Gormley, Managing Director of ITV Daytime said in an announcement: “For the fifth year running, we’re delighted to share our festive scheduling – including the return of Good Morning Britain, Lorraine and This Morning on Christmas Day, plus Loose Women in the run up to the new year.

“The countdown to Christmas has started and we’re all looking forward to sharing the magic of this time of year with those at home as the decorations go up in the studios too!”

Beginning at 7am, all four shows will be airing special instalments on ITV1 and ITVX for Christmas Day.

Each programme will also have episodes on-screen for December 30 and December 31.

Morning Live‘s main presenters include Helen Skelton, Gethin Jones and Michelle Ackerley.

The show additionally features a roster of relief presenters including Kym Marsh, Rav Wilding and Gaby Roslin.

The One Show‘s Matt Allwright and Strictly’s Dr Punam Krishan, among others, appear as featured experts.

Meanwhile, This Morning viewers were recently left with their stomach turning after witnessing a “raw turkey” be cut up on air.

Josie Gibson and Dermot O’Leary welcomed Paul Kelly, who holds the Guinness World Record for fastest turkey carving.

As he explained the best way to serve up the festive bird, fans were distracted by the pink meat that was revealed.

One wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “That bloke carving the turkey needs to get down to Specsavers if he thinks that pink meat is dark meat.”

Another declared: “That turkey is so pink I can still hear it gobble-gobble!”

While a third joked: “ah yes we can make turkey tartare?”

A fourth chimed in: “A good vet could get that turkey back on its feet no problem.”
