Saints hire Ivan Jurić in last ditch bid to salvage season, or at least some pride
December 23 – Premier League Southampton have confirmed Croatian Ivan Jurić as their first team manager.
Jurić watched from the stands at the weekend as Saints secured a 0-0 draw away to Fulham, only their sixth point of a miserable season that sees them bottom of the table and eight points away from safety with 17 games played. It is the third worst start to a Premier League season by any team.
Jurić takes over from Russell Martin who refused to adopt his playing philosophy for the holy grail of Premier League survival,
