Giant gingerbread house on display at local train station
RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) - This holiday season travelers at the Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station are in for a sweet surprise! A giant gingerbread house is on display through the end of December.
The four-foot-tall gingerbread house was built by Questar III BOCES students from Robert H. Gibson Technical School in Troy. From start to finish, it took them three weeks to construct.
The gingerbread house was a collaboration between multiple programs. Students who study construction technologies, culinary arts, electrical trades, and more were involved in the project.
According to CDTA, the Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station is the ninth-busiest station in the country, serving more than 800,000 people each year. Plans are already being whipped up for next year’s gingerbread creation.
