Coziest Fireplace Yule Logs You Can Stream Right Now
So you don't have a fireplace, but you want to feel cozy in your living room this Christmas? Well, since the 1960s, various TV channels have broadcast a never-ending Yule Log to simulate that warm fireplace feeling. But, how can you watch a modern Yule Log on your streaming TV? What is the most classic option? Which one is the weirdest? Which ones have music? Which don't?
Here's a quick guide to getting some virtual fire burning in your living room, with the best streaming Yule Logs we could find!
Yule Logs With (and Without) Music
Over on Netflix, there's a good selection of various yule logs, which are ad-free, assuming you have a "Standard" or "Premium" Netflix account.
The best of these is a three-episode selection called "Fireplace for Your Home." It includes three 60-minute fireplaces, "Crackling Yule Log Fire Place," "Crackling Fireplace," and "Crackling Fireplace With Music." Technically, the first and third sections here have music, though the third one doesn't.
Netflix also has "Fireplace for Your Home: Crackling Birchwood Fireplace," which is exactly what it sounds like, with no music at all.
Amazon also has a fairly reliable yule log on Prime called "Classic Yule Log." This one has a short, five-minute ad at the beginning, then runs for two hours.
If you use Roku on your TV to organize all your streaming apps, Roku does offer a free app called "Holiday Yule Log Fireplace." However, there are some pesky ads on that one.
Vintage TV Yule Log
The original 1960s TV Yule Log, created by WPIX in New York, still exists. You access the WPIX live stream of the Yule Log on Christmas Day via Hulu, but you'll need a cable subscription to make that happen.
There's also a version of this on YouTube. (Watch above! Note: This one has music.)
Free YouTube Yule Logs
Also on YouTube is a very low-key, non-musical version of that Yule Log, from the folks at Adult Swim. This one is pretty short and simple. (Watch above.) There's also a 24/7 live version called "Relaxing Fireplace 24/7." This one will have ads at the start of the video but appears to be ad-free for the time being.

Themed Yule Logs
In addition to the traditional yule logs, some of the streaming services have specialty crackling fireplaces. Netflix has a ton of these, including a Witcher-themed perpetually burning fire. Netflix also has recently added a Bridgerton fireplace, which also has that Bridgerton theme playing. Might make someone in the family happy.
But, in terms of weirdly specific Yule Log, we've saved the best for last!
The Darth Vader Yule Log
Perhaps the weirdest, and most macabre streaming Yule Log is the one which shows Darth Vader, burning forever. Obviously, this scene comes from the ending of Return of the Jedi, when Luke sets his father's spirit free, but for a while now, folks have made versions of this where the flames are just on repeat.
Is it weird? Yes. But for a certain household, the Darth Vader Yule Log is perfect. You can find several versions of this on YouTube.
