France utterly condemns the attack perpetrated on the evening of Friday 20 December 2024 at the Christmas market in Magdeburg, the capital of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, which resulted in many casualties. France extends its condolences to the bereaved, and the German people and Government. It stands with Germany in fighting all forms of violent extremism.
