Authorities in Madikeri, led by Karnataka State Pollution Control Board Environment Officer Raghuram, visited ginger washing units in Hebbale following pollution complaints. They shut down two units for illegally discharging polluted water into the Cauvery River and instructed agriculture department officials to take further action.
