Active weather pattern through the weekend with daily storm chance
Clouds increasing across the area today out ahead of a disturbance, which will roll through the area tomorrow morning.
A chance of rain and a few embedded thunderstorms, mainly early in the day tomorrow, as the upper-level disturbance moves through. Chance of any severe weather appears very low as wind shear and instability will be lacking.
A stronger trough will move near the area Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, which will keep storms in the forecast as we see atmospheric lift and a surface front meandering near the region.
A slight chance of a strong storm or two on Thursday, but most of the activity could remain to the west and northwest of Acadiana.
Highest rain chance will be on Saturday as the front tries to push through, at least temporarily.
With the exception of slightly lower temperatures at night, this front won't do much to break the warm temperature regime, which will stay in place through the early parts of next week.
