Tokyo stocks end higher on autos amid slow trading
TOKYO, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks ended slightly higher Wednesday as a weaker yen boosted export-oriented automakers while many investors sat on the sidelines amid the Christmas holiday overseas.
Japan's benchmark Nikkei stock index, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average, ended up 93.58 points, or 0.24 percent, from Tuesday at 39,130.43.
The broader Topix index, meanwhile, finished 6.60 points, or 0.24
