Virat Kohli issues strong warning to Mohammed Siraj during Australia encounter: ‘Don’t smile while…’, watch
New Delhi: Virat Kohli had a heated start to Day 1 of the fourth Test. He collided with Sam Konstas in a shoulder bump, leading to opinions from various former cricketers that Kohli was entirely at fault for the altercation.
“[Fielders] should be nowhere near the batsman at that stage,” former Australia captain Ricky Ponting had said in commentary.
“He’s completely wrong. I don’t know why a senior pro who’s played for so long – he’s a King – has been rattled by a 19-year-old.,” said former England skipper Michael Vaughan.

India vs Australia, 4th Test Day 1: As it happened
Australia batted through the entire first day to finish with a score of 311/6 at Stumps. The Australian top order all scored fifties, with Sam Konstas contributing 60, Usman Khawaja 57, Marnus Labuschagne 72, and Steven Smith remaining not out on 68.
For India, Jasprit Bumrah stood out with the ball once again. Despite being hit for 14 and 18 in two overs by Konstas, Bumrah made a strong comeback, dismissing Khawaja, Travis Head, and Mitchell Marsh.
Travis Head, who has been a constant thorn in India’s side throughout the series, falling for a duck was likely the standout moment for India’s bowlers. On Day 2, India will aim to keep Australia’s total under 400.
