Tottenham potentially took a gamble by sending Luka Vuskovic on loan to Westerlo in the summer. Not many 17-year-olds tend to get regular football in the Jupiler Pro League, which is the eighth-best league in Europe, based on UEFA coefficient score.
However, the centre-back has not only established himself as a mainstay in the Westerlo backline but he has also been one of their best players so far this season.

The stats provided by the platform, Rising Star 11, have now revealed that the Tottenham youngster contributes more going forward than any other centre-back in the Belgian topflight.
He ranks first for goals, headed goals, shots, Expected Goals (xG), and touches in the opposition box among the centre-halves in the division, while also being close to the top in a number of attacking stats.
Is Vuskovic the perfect Ange Postecoglou centre-back?
We know that Postecoglou‘s sides rely on their centre-backs to kick-start attacks and play forward, which is why the Australian would be quite excited about the Croat’s development.
If the defender continues delivering performances of similar quality, the Australian might even consider using him as a first-team option as early as next season.
However, perhaps another year on loan would be ideal for the Hajduk Split academy graduate, with a year on loan in the Championship potentially being what he needs to get used to the intensity of English football.
