India extends mandate for imported coal-based power plants to operate at full capacity until Feb. 28. Initially set till Oct. 15, it was extended to Dec. 31 before this new deadline. These plants have a combined annual capacity of nearly 16 gigawatts amidst fluctuating coal imports and solar power generation.
