NYC man arrested in Grand Larceny, identity theft investigation
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A New York man was arrested on December 19 in connection with an identity theft and grand larceny investigation in Albany County. Steven Price, 56, is accused of stealing over $50,000 from an Albany County resident.
According to State Police, in September 2024, troopers received a report from an Albany County resident reporting a theft from a bank account. Upon investigation, troopers determined Price allegedly withdrew over $50,000 from the person's bank account, without permission or authorization.
Troopers said Price reportedly took the money out in numerous transactions in September 2023. On December 19, Price was arrested in New York and was transported back to the Latham state police barracks where he was charged with Grand Larceny in the second degree and Identity Theft in the first degree.
Price was arraigned at the Guilderland Town Court. He was then remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
