Man, 28, dies in single-vehicle crash in Ross County

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (WCMH) – A 28-year-old man was killed in a Ross County crash early Friday morning.

At about 2:08 a.m., Kyler Mootz of Frankfort, Ohio was driving a 2002 Ford F-350 north on Norman Hill Road near Montgomery Lane.

Mootz traveled off the left side of the road and struck a guardrail and culvert, which caused the truck to overturn, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. An ambulance transported Mootz to a local hospital, where he ultimately died from his injuries

The Ross County Sheriff’s Office, Concord Township Fire and Concord Township EMS assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Chillicothe Post of the state highway patrol.
