FORECAST DISCUSSION:
This will be a very mild start to the weekend with temperatures topping off in the low 60s. Central Ohio is going to see highs 20-25 degrees warmer than average for late December. Along with these warm temps will be very cloudy skies and breezy winds. There is a small chance for isolated sprinkles later this afternoon.
Tonight rain showers move into the area, and there will be plenty of them. Winds speeds; however, will calm down quiet a bit. This will not last for too long. Lows will stay mild only falling to the low 50s.
Tomorrow afternoon brings a marginal risk for severe weather to portions of Central Ohio. A few areas east of the city have a chance of experiencing strong winds speeds and even a few rumbles of thunder on Sunday. Highs will return to the low 60s.
The last days of the year will bring plenty more chances for rain. This includes on New Year's Eve. Temperatures will return to seasonable by the end of the year, then will be below average at the end of the work week.
