The Golden State Warriors begin a six-game homestand with Saturday night’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns. The game will be played at 5:30PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on NBA TV and NBC Sports Bay Area.

Golden State played short-handed on the first night of a back-to-back but still managed to put up a valiant effort during their 102-92 defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers. The bright spot of the game for the Warriors was Jonathan Kuminga, who led the team in scoring with a new career-high 34 points. After the game, head coach Steve Kerr shared high remarks about Kuminga’s performance.

What to watch for tonight:
The Warriors are expected to be near full strength tonight with the anticipated returns of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Both stars were rested on Friday to manage their lingering injuries, but head coach Steve Kerr says he expects them to be available for the second night of the back-to-back.

Meanwhile, Phoenix comes into this matchup having lost three of their last four games while dealing with the absence of All-Star guard Devin Booker, who remains sidelined with a groin injury. In his absence, Kevin Durant has carried the load, averaging 32 points over the last four games, including two outings of 35 and 43 points.
Friday’s loss dropped Golden State to .500 for the first time this season, leaving them as the 11th seed in the West and just outside of the Play-In. The Suns are one spot ahead of the Warriors and share an identical 15-15 record. Expect the Warriors to come out with a sense of urgency as they look to avoid going under .500 for the first time all season while keeping pace in the tight Western Conference standings.
