Quadrantid meteor shower to light up skies with dazzling ‘fireball’ shooting stars — and New Yorkers may be in luck

The Quadrantid meteor shower — one of the best annual meteor showers — will be peaking overnight from Thursday to Friday, producing "fireball" brightness and up to 120 shooting stars per hour, according to NASA.
