Lidl, Aldi and Iceland opening times for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day

Now that the big day is over with, and you’ve made your way through all the leftovers, it’s probably time to restock all the essentials.

And with New Year’s eve around the corner you might also be needing a few party bits to help welcome in 2025.

Aldi, Lidl and Iceland are all great options if you’re feeling a little cash-strapped right now (and let’s face it, who isn’t?), but like most supermarkets their opening hours will be a little different over the new year period.

Below, we take a look at the opening times for both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day at all three chains.

Aldi’s New Year’s Eve and Day opening times

• New Year’s Eve: 8am – 6pm
• New Year’s Day: CLOSED

Customers should check the details for their local store online to be sure on the Aldi website.

Lidl’s New Year’s Eve and Day opening times

• New Year’s Eve: Inside M25 – 8am – 7pm. Outside M25- 8am – 6pm
• New Year’s Day: Inside M25 – 10am – 6pm. Outside M25 – Closed

Customers can check their local store’s opening hours on the online store finder or through the Lidl Plus app.

Iceland’s New Year’s Eve and Day opening times

The times vary from store to store, but most Iceland branches will be open with reduced hours on both days, with a few entirely closed on New Year’s Day.
