One killed in Saturday night shooting near Opelousas, authorities confirm

ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that one person died in a shooting Saturday night that occurred in the area of Honey Lane near Opelousas.
The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m., authorities said.
No other information was released on Sunday.
The shooting remains under investigation.
