NYSP investigates, makes arrest in Valatie stabbing
VALATIE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- New York State Police arrested a 23-year-old man who allegedly stabbed another man in Valatie. Troopers said Robert P. Krein is facing charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Troopers said they responded to the stabbing at 3033 Main St. at 7:06 p.m. on Saturday. They said they found a 49-year-old man with two minor stab wounds.
After an investigation, Troopers arrested Krein on Sunday and released him to probation after arraigning him in Kinderhook. His next appearance is scheduled for January 28, 2025. The victim is expected to be released from Albany Medical Center on Monday.
