New Delhi: The name Ambani is one of the biggest in India and around the world. It oozes opulence, lavishness, wealth, luxury, and everything ornate, and their Mumbai residence Antilia is not an exception, and it could not be one given the name of the owner

Antilia, the residence of Mukesh Ambani and his family, is located on Billionaires’ Row in Mumbai. The most expensive house in India, Antilia, is a work of genius, defining everything urbane, stylish, luxurious, and debonair.

With 27 floors, it is much more than a home; it is the ultimate symbol of power and wealth.

As much from the exterior, the interiors are arguably at the highest level.

We will try to take you there and feel the power of imagination turning into reality.

It stands stoutly at 173 metres, about 570 feet, covering a huge area of 400,000 square feet. The safety part is diligently taken care of as it can survive a magnitude 8 earthquake.

Antilia is equipped with a cutting-edge security system and were designed by SAFE, a Virginia-based company specializing in advanced security solutions. The security features include basic to military-grade protection. For all the unversed, the Ambani house has been secured by Al Corbi, the founder and president of SAFE.

Located at a prime location overlooking the Arabian Sea, the Ambanis enjoy the utmost privacy and access to some of the wealthiest facilities.

The building was named after the mythical Spanish phantom island of Antillia and designed by the US architecture firms Perkins & Will, based in Chicago, and Hirsch Bedner Associates, based in Los Angeles. They were consulted after Nita Ambani was impressed by the contemporary Asian interiors at the Mandarin Oriental, New York, also designed by them.

Antilia’s architectural design incorporates elements of the sun, lotus, precious stones, marble, and mother of pearl into its design, with each motif symbolizing prosperity, spirituality, and abundance. These traditional influences blend seamlessly with its modern aesthetics, giving it a unique charm.

Antilia’s construction began in 2006 and was completed by 2010 under the direction of Leighton Asia and B.E. Billimoria & Company. Every floor has its unique theme, with different materials and finishes, creating an individualized atmosphere for each level.

No two floors in Antilia are identical as the design combines modern luxury with traditional Indian elements, making it a true work of art. The attention to detail is evident in every corner of the house.

Antilia has facilities that might put the highest rated hotels to shame. It has 49 bedrooms that are spacious and intricately designed, offering maximum comfort.

It has a majestic ballroom and a 50-seat theatre for private screenings.

A hanging garden suspends above the city, offering panoramic views of the city with a spa, health center, and a yoga center.

The snow room provides artificial snowfall and icy temperatures, creating a winter wonderland indoors.

The ice-cream parlour lets them indulge in freshly made ice creams.

Antilia is equipped with 9 high-speed elevators, a ballroom, 3 helipads, and a parking space capable of holding 168 luxury cars. A total of 600 staff members are present for maintenance.

As per the latest market valuation, Antilia is worth Rs. 15,000 crores.
