50 Cent Sports Gucci Sneakers to Celebrate His Las Vegas Residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino
50 Cent brought forth a fashionable look in sneakers while arriving at the grand opening of Caramella at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday night.
Photographed on the red carpet, the rapper and entrepreneur donned a pair of the Gucci Re-Web sneakers for occasion. The shoes were crafted with a canvas upper material and featured white accents dispersed throughout. A rubber outsole was built onto the shoe to provide adequate grip and traction. Black laces completed the model, alongside Gucci’s iconic logo on the tongue.
Per the brand, the Re-Web sees Gucci’s heritage stripes as a bold statement detail on a contemporary silhouette, and is defined by other iconic details such as a rubber outsole with Interlocking G and Gucci script logo Interlocking G details on the eyelets.
As for the rest of his outfit, the rapper a black Gucci t-shirt with the brand’s white logo, which he paired underneath a black jacket. Black joggers completed the style. Quite a few celebrities have chosen to wear sneakers throughout 2024, as the style is renowned for its ability to be a semi-casual look, while still being appropriate enough for upscale events and occasions.
For example, in July, former athlete and television host Shaquille O’Neal sported sneakers and suits while also making an appearance on “Good Morning America.” Repping his brand Reebok, with a pair of Nano X3 Training Shoes from the brand, the shoes featured contrasted black woven textile uppers, zig-zag lines, a beige rubber outsole and trademarked Flexweave material. That same month, actor and entrepreneur Kevin Hart donned a sneaker and power suit combination while making an appearance on “Good Morning America” in support of limited television series “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.”
Those sneakers were also crafted with a canvas upper material and featured black accents on the sides that accompanied a rubber outsole. White laces completed the model, which the actor paired with a matching two-piece navy suit that had a white shirt underneath. He accessorized his look with a pair black sunglasses.
