Bruins Look To Slow Down Alex Ovechkin Amid Record Chase

The Bruins will need all of the defensive strength they can muster Tuesday afternoon against the Capitals and Washington captain Alex Ovechkin as he continues marching toward the NHL’s scoring record.

Wayne Gretzky’s 894 career goals have stood as the most by any NHL player since 1999, and many thought it would never be broken. But with over 40 games left in the season, Ovechkin is only 25 goals away from passing “The Great One.”
