Jeannie Mai Celebrates Daughter Monaco’s 3rd Birthday With the Sweetest & Silliest Photos — Including a Bubble Bath Disaster
Jeannie Mai’s daughter Monaco is making a splash into her third year of life. The adorable toddler had a bubble bath disaster in new photos, and the photo and video are so cute.
“Happy birthday to my morning, my night, and everything in between,” The Real co-host posted on Instagram, sharing several moments of her and Monaco together. In one photo, Mai and Monaco lean against a wall with their arms crossed, posing identically and looking adorable together. In another, Monaco jumps on her mom’s back as Mai leans over to eat a bowl of noodles with chopsticks at a restaurant. Monaco also helps her mom in the production room, goes skateboarding with her mom like a pro, and tries fish eggs on the beach.
But the silliest time happened during one of Monaco’s baths. The Raid the Cage star shared a video of her daughter in the tub, surrounded by bubbles. Not bubbles like you might expect in a bath — these were huge, washing-machine-exploded, foam-run-worthy bubbles that completely covered the bath, the walls, and Monaco herself.
“Oh my gosh, Coco!” Mai says off camera as Monaco just chills with a huge bubble fluff on her head. A chunk of bubbles falls off the bubble mountain and slides to the floor, and it honestly looks like a blast. In the last picture, Mai got a picture of Coco covered head-to-toe in bubbles and smiling in the bath looking like she was having the best day ever. (Which she probably was!) This little girl is so cute, and in the caption, Mai opened up about how much she loves her daughter, who she shares with ex Jeezy.
“I’ve always wondered why I’ve always been so childlike in spirit, and honestly, I think it’s because you’ve always been within me—waiting for me to believe in myself enough to bring you into this world,” Mai wrote in her caption. “It’s been three incredible years with you, con gái, and this is just the beginning. Every day, in every thing I do, I can’t wait to show you just how deeply loved you are. You awakened my world and I’m forever grateful @monacomaijenkins ✨”
“Thank you for choosing me to be your mommy,” she continued, quipping, “I mean … how could you not ????????♀️????.”
“???????????????????????????????????????????????????????? a bubble bath fit for a baby princess⭐️????✨✨✨✨,” one person commented. Someone else wrote, “I just love her. That’s it.”
Olivia Munn commented on the post with one question that we all have: “Tell me how you make bubbles like that ????.” We need to know too! Mai hasn’t responded yet, but one person answered the question, writing, “Dawn dish soap makes the best bubbles.” We’re definitely going to have to try it.
The Emmy-winning TV host told PEOPLE in November that she is planning on leaving 2024 in the past and moving forward this year. “The lessons from this year are the lessons for this year,” Mai, whose divorce from Jeezy was finalized in June, said. “I’m excited for next year. I want to learn new things.”
“I learned very humbly that all the things that I believed in worked for me at a certain time in my life,” she went on. “But now, there are a new set of rules because they’re not just for me, they’re for my daughter.”
“Instead of following my own rules from before, I want to leave that [in 2024],” the Christmas in the Spotlight star continued. “I want to walk into 2025 like, ‘Who are these new people God’s going to bring me? What are these new situations? How are we going to face forward with all the skills and traits that I’m proud of?’ And to listen to myself and learn new things.”
