When does ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ return?
No, you’re not an idiot sandwich. Fox’s long-running reality TV cooking show really has been simmering off-air for the past four weeks. So when does Hell’s Kitchen return, anyway?
When we last checked in with this “Head Chefs Only” cycle on Dec. 5, there were still eight participants in the running to win the grand prize of an executive chef position at Gordon Ramsay‘s Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant at Foxwoods Resort Casino. The remaining episodes of Season 23 will air every Thursday night on Fox (and stream later on Hulu), beginning Jan. 2, 2025.
The top eight chef-testants are:
- Amanda Currie (age 39) from Orlando.
- Ann Marie Stauber (age 34) from Highlands Ranch, Colo.
- Brandon Kerr (age 34) from Lafayette, Ind.
- Egypt Davis (age 31) from Chicago.
- Hannah Flora (age 31) from DeKalb, Ill.
- Joseph “Joe” Tartamalla (age 35) from Staten Island, N.Y.
- Kyle Timpson (age 29) from Dennis Township, N.J.
- Whitney “Whit” Thomas (age 35) from Reidsville, N.C.
This week’s 11th episode is titled “A Soap Opera in Hell” and will test the players’ impromptu cooking skills after they are randomly assigned an international cuisine to prepare. Watch an exclusive clip below in which Ramsay calls Stauber a “smart ass” for questioning one of his decisions.
Then on Jan. 9, it’s the highly anticipated “Black Jacket Time” contest as those remaining will compete in Episode 12 for a shot at trading in their red and blue team jackets for the coveted black coat.
During the last episode that aired, 27-year-old Brittany Fanning found herself on the chopping block against Stauber for their poor showing during dinner service. After Ramsay asked the rest of the red team who they’d be better off without, they all said Fanning. Thus, Ramsay made the decision to cut the Homer, Alaska, resident from the competition, declaring, “Brittany’s team felt they needed to hold her hand, so it was time for me to lead her out the door.”
Fanning became the 10th person eliminated from Hell’s Kitchen Season 23, following Lourdes “Lulu” Elízaga, Anthony Vo, Meghan Ellis, Magali Ort, Michael Lovano, Corbin Emilio, Uri Elbaum, Shant Halajian, and Amber Evans.
