‘The Traitors’ drops first 7 minutes of Season 3 on New Year’s Day
Peacock is ringing in the new year with Alan Cumming and a whole collection of treacherous foes.
On Jan. 1, 2025, The Traitors dropped the first seven minutes of Season 3 — watch the sneak peek on Peacock. In the clip, the impeccably dressed, Emmy-winning host introduces the 21 reality TV icons and public figures to their swanky new home, a castle in the Scottish Highlands.
The first three episodes of The Traitors Season 3 will be available to stream on Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET. New episodes will be released every subsequent Thursday, until the finale and reunion stream on March 6.
Just like in years past, Cumming will keep viewers in the loop by showing us the identities of the villainous Traitors (those responsible for murdering their fellow players) and the heroic Faithfuls (those who try to uncover the truth). More Traitors may be recruited later on, particularly if the Faithfuls are successful in banishing the initial evildoers from the game.
Season 3’s ultimate champion(s) will take home a cash prize of up to $250,000 in the grand finale. The Traitors winners list includes Season 1’s Cirie Fields from Survivor, and Season 2’s Trishelle Cannatella and Chris “C.T.” Tamburello from The Challenge.

If you’re keeping track at home, Survivor and Housewives alums definitely have a numbers advantage, with four people from each show competing in the castle. But will they stick together? Who’s to say the Survivor foursome won’t vote each other out, and that there won’t be Housewives-on-Housewives table-flipping, if it means advancing further in the competition?
The Traitors recently won Best Competition Program and Best Reality Host (Cumming) at the 2024 Emmys; the show also claimed the 2023 award for Best Reality Casting. During Season 2’s launch week in January 2024, Peacock’s whodunit series became the No. 1 unscripted show in the United States across all streaming platforms, according to Nielsen.
