HAMILTON COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) -- The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a man in Hamilton County early Wednesday morning.
Just after 1:30 a.m., a Ram pickup was headed west on County Road 31, southwest of Syracuse and about eight miles east of the Colorado state line.
Troopers say the pickup went off the road to the right, down an embankment toward a bridge, and crashed into the embankment west of the bridge.
The KHP says Toby Kandt, 39, died in the crash. He was only about 35 minutes from his hometown of Holly, Colorado.
