2 killed, 2 injured in Bennington County house fire
SANDGATE, Vt. (NEWS10) -- A fire in the town of Sandgate has killed two people and injured another two. The fire took place around 11:30 a.m. on New Year's Day on Chunks Brook Road.
Multiple fire departments from Vermont and New York responded to the scene. The two injured victims were taken to hospitals in New York. The extent of their injuries was unknown Wednesday night.
The two people who died were found at the scene. Their identities are not being released until family has been notified. Autopsies will take place on Thursday to determine a cause of death.
