One killed in Columbus New Year's shooting
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is dead after a shooting in west Columbus.
Police responded to reports of shots fired at the 3600 block of Kirkwood Road at 8:54 p.m. According to dispatchers, a man was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead around 9:15 p.m.
Columbus dispatchers said a suspect is detained, and that they called 911 and self-reported the shooting.
