Rita Ora Co-Hosts Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in a Flurry of Boots
Rita Ora is feeling for boots this winter season. After being seen in the cult-favorite Marc Jacobs platform Kiki boots at the beginning of December headed to an after party during the 2024 British Fashioin Awards, the star has chosen a series of boots to ring in the new year. Working with stylist Pippa Atkinson, she teased the choices on a visit to Times Square ahead of the ball drop, wearing chunky black Burberry saddle high boots. And then she followed through, donning a selection that included platform styles as well as those of the pointed toe variety.
For one of her first looks of the night, Ora wore a furry pink top with a matching scarf and a pair of furry trousers. For shoes she chose Bottega Veneta’s Mostra Ankle Boot.
The Mostra is an ankle boot made of calfskin leather. It notably includes a thick inset platform and a square toe. What distinguishes it from most other boots is the heel: the heal is curved and measures six inches. This includes the 2.5 inch platform. Jessica Simpson has worn the boot previously in white.
For a second look, Ora chose a zip up coat with brown leather trousers. For footwear, she chose Isabel Marant brown leather Edrika Boots.
The Isabel Marant boot is a slouchy style. It features a collar at the top of the leg, a cone shaped toe. There’s also gold metalware including a piece at the angle and a short kitten heel.
For another look, Ora went all white wearing an Elie Saab white coat featuring a massive rose applique on the shoulder. For shoes, she chose white cowboy boots featuring a block heel and rounded toe. The boot is knee-high and features embroidery throughout.
An onstage look included a purple dress, shorts and tights as well as a pair of black leather boots from Chrome Hearts. The shoes are the Chrome Hearts Sugar Jones silhouette featuring a four inch heel, side zip as well as the triple cross done in a cheetah print.
