'Hire the forgotten men of MAGA!' Columnist trolls GOP as bitter infighting ramps up
An intra-MAGA feud has erupted in recent weeks between longtime Donald Trump acolytes such as Steve Bannon and Laura Loomer and right-wing tech billionaires such as Elon Musk and Marc Andreesen.
On the one side, Musk and Andreesen have insisted that Silicon Valley needs to hire engineers from overseas because there aren't enough talented American-born engineers to do the job.
Bannon and Loomer, however, have charged that the Silicon Valley crew simply want easy-to-exploit cheap labor and don't really mean what they say about wanting to put "America first."
The Bulwark's Jonathan Last believes that it's time for the likes of Musk and Andreesen to back up their big MAGA talk by hiring Trump supporters at their firms.

"Elon Musk, Marc Andreessen, and Peter Thiel can just hire the Forgotten Men of MAGA!" he writes. "On January 19, Trump will hold a “victory rally” in Washington. I assume that tens of thousands of patriots will attend. Why not have it double as a recruiting event for Tesla/Twitter/SpaceX, a16z, and Palantir?"
Last acknowledges that he is not entirely serious in this recommendation, but he believes that the dispute between MAGA and Silicon Valley highlights the inherent tensions that will arise when two political factions are linked solely by their own animosity toward liberals.
Or as Last puts it, Trump supporters appear to have a love-hate relationship with "super-rich guys who hate elite college grads as much as we do" on the grounds that "fantasizing about having power like they do makes us feel less impotent and aggrieved."
