Teen's reaction to Christmas gift goes viral

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) - A girl in Ohio couldn't contain her excitement when she received the Christmas gift she always wanted.

A video of 17-year-old Paige Nevels' reaction posted on social media by her mother currently has over 1 million likes.

"When I opened my big gift which was a steering wheel cover ... I was very excited and happy and just grateful because I wasn't expecting a car," Paige said.

On Christmas day, Paige was gifted a 2013 Dodge Avenger by her parents Kacie and Emmitt Nevels.

"When I opened it, I just had to throw it on the ground. I didn't know what - well I knew what it was but I was just thinking in my head, 'There's no way,'" Paige said. "I ran outside. I ran out through the front because I thought it was out front but my mom was like, 'Paige, you got to come back in the house. Go out the back door.'"

When Paige saw the car, she gave it a big hug.

"To see that she was grateful and for a 2013 Dodge, she's just as grateful as if it were a brand new luxury vehicle. It's everything to a parent," said her mother Kacie Nevels.

"It's been an amazing opportunity for that many people across the world in different languages -- there are comments that I'm reading that I can't even understand because that's how many people it has impacted," said Kacie Nevels.
