0

TOPEKA (KSNT) - A new Mexican food restaurant is due to open its doors soon in southwest Topeka this month.

27 News spoke with Alex Johnson, a spokesman for Pancho's Mexican Food, who said a new location is set to open in January this year. The restaurant is located at the former Saigon restaurant at 3200 Southwest 29th Street.

"Our food is authentic Mexican mixed with California style food," Johnson said. "It ranges from shrimp fajitas and Mexican chorizo plates to carne asada, fries, burritos and breakfast burritos."

Johnson said the restaurant will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. Topekans will also have the opportunity to try new 'birria' food items like the quesabirria tacos and birria quesadillas.

Pancho's Mexican Food has locations in Kansas, Utah, Wyoming and Missouri, according to its Facebook page. Three other locations can be found in the Kansas in Overland Park, Salina and Lawrence.
