John Travolta Rings in the New Year With Rare Family Photo
John Travolta rang in the New Year by sharing a rare family photo with his fans.
On Jan. 1, the 70-year-old Pulp Fiction star posted a photo of himself with his daughter, 24-year-old Ella Bleu Travolta, and his 14-year-old son Benjamin Travolta, standing against a snowy winter scene. "Happy new year [sic] from the Travolta family," he captioned the sweet picture. Travolta shares Ella and Benjamin with his late wife, Kelly Preston, who passed away in 2020 at 59 following a battle with breast cancer. Travolta and Preston were also parents to Jett, who passed at 16 on Jan. 2, 2009.
The actor rarely posts about his family, and when he does it’s typically a photo of just his children rather than a family photo. Recently, the Grease star posted a picture of Benjamin to celebrate his 14th birthday in November which showed his young son cuddling with the family dog.
Travolta’s fans and friends alike were thrilled to see the star and his family looking happy and healthy as they rung in 2025.
“Happy New Year!!!” Tom Hanks’ wife Rita Wilson commented emphatically. Musician John 5 echoed that sentiment, while High School Musical star Bart Johnson wrote, “Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family!” Actor Michael Beach (Tulsa King), whom Travolta worked with in the 1995 thriller White Man’s Burden, wrote: “Happy New Year, Travolta family,” alongside a fireworks emoji. Travolta’s other famous pals, including Jamie Lee Curtis and Juliette Lewis, didn’t comment but gave the post some love.
Travolta will next be seen in the upcoming musical romantic comedy That’s Amore!, in which he stars with Katherine Heigl (Knocked Up) and Christopher Walken.
