The White Sox are signing versatile infielder Josh Rojas to a one-year contract, a source confirmed Thursday. The deal is pending a physical.
Rojas, 30, who plays multiple positions and is considered above average defensively, was non-tendered by the Mariners in November after batting .184/.265/.272 the last two months of 2024. He batted .225/.304/.336 with eight homers and 19 doubles in 142 games last season.
Rojas has a .247/.323/.362 batting line in six seasons with the Diamondbacks and Mariners. He has appeared in 232 games at second base, 150 at third base, 44 at shortstop, 60 in left field and 43 in right field.
