Gresham authorities searching for vehicle involved in fatal hit-run

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Gresham police are asking for help from the public in locating a car involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash last month.

The crash happened on December 7 just after midnight and the victim was identified as Ryan Winchester.

"Winchester was crossing NE Burnside Rd near NE Cleveland Ave when he was fatally struck by a passing vehicle. The driver did not stop," police said. "Winchester died at the scene. He leaves behind a wife and young children."

Investigators say that the involved vehicle is a small gray hatchback.
