Dad believes missing Long Island girl is being held against her will: 'Let my baby go'
EAST PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (PIX11) – The father of a missing Long Island girl who disappeared nearly a month ago believes his daughter is being held against her will.
Emmarae Gervasi, 14, was reported missing after she left her home on Terrell Street in East Patchogue on Dec. 9, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Emmarae Gervasi was at home with her mother when she said she was going out to the driveway to look for something, according to her father, Frank Gervasi. Video appears to show the 14-year-old either getting into or being pulled into a car before she vanished, her father said.
“I believe that she might have left willingly to get something out of a car and maybe got pulled in at that point,” Frank Gervasi said.
The girl left her house without shoes on, according to her father. Frank Gervasi said he thinks his daughter is being held against her will.
“I do believe that she would’ve been home at this point,” Frank Gervasi said. “Let my baby go. We’re definitely coming for you.”
The father has been driving around communities day and night in search of his daughter. He’s been scouring the streets, posting flyers, looking through the woods, and talking to locals trying to find out where she is.
“We’re all praying for you Emma and we love you very much. You know how much I love you, sweetheart,” Frank Gervasi said in a video message to his daughter.
Emmarae Gervasi is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds, and has brown eyes and brown hair, police said.
Police are investigating her disappearance. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Suffolk County Police Department’s non-emergency phone number at 631-852-COPS.
