New addiction support group for teens in Saratoga Co.
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- As the new year begins, the Prevention Council of Saratoga County is positively impacting the community. It launched a new Youth All Recovery Support Group aimed at helping teens struggling with addiction, with the first meeting held on Thursday, January 2.
The group meets every Thursday at Healing Springs Recovery Community and Outreach Center in Saratoga Springs. It provides a safe, peer-driven environment for teens ages 14 to 17 to build a sober support network.
This is all led by a certified recovery peer advocate and the group fosters open discussion while offering resources for both teens and their families. This initiative serves as just one of the many ways the Prevention Council continues to support youth and families in Saratoga County, helping them navigate the challenges of substance use and recovery.
