Vernon Vipers Announce Roster Moves Ahead of Weekend Games

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers are excited to announce a key addition to their roster as well as updates on other roster moves ahead of this weekend’s games.

The Vipers have signed 19-year-old Swedish defenseman Noah Ideback. Standing at 6’3” and 194 pounds, Ideback shoots right and brings a strong presence to the Vipers’ blue line. This season, he served as the captain of the HV71 J20 team in Sweden, showcasing his leadership and high-caliber play.

Head Coach Lukas Lomicky shared his enthusiasm about the signing:

“We are thrilled to bring in Noah for the rest of the season. He moves well, possesses a big body, and can play in any situation. He will help us have a strong presence on the back end.”

Ideback expressed his excitement to join the team, stating:

“To join the Vernon Vipers organization is a true honour, and I really look forward to coming to Vernon and playing at Kal Tire Place.”

The Vipers organization warmly welcomes Noah and his family and looks forward to his contributions on the ice.

In other roster news, George Stavrianeas and Landon MacDonald have made the decision to pursue other opportunities, with Stavrianeas moving to the NAHL and MacDonald to the USHL. The Vipers would like to thank both George and Landon for their contributions to the hockey club.
