Iconic sports car set to be released in Europe in 2025 including fully-electric model which can hit 60mph in 3.3 seconds
AN ICONIC muscle car is coming to Europe in 2025 – fresh from the roads of the US.
The new Dodge Charger – one of the most famous nameplates from the Big Apple – is crossing the pond and coming to a showroom near you in the second half of the year.

Naturally, those made available to buy in the UK will be left-hand drive only.
Unveiled last March, the new Charger comes in two-door coupé and four-door saloon versions, but controversially without a V8 engine.
Instead, the famous motor will feature a twin-turbo straight-six petrol engine or pure-electric power.
With Dodge being a part of the Stellantis range of car brands, the Charger will be built on the new STLA Large platform along with other upcoming EVs such as Alfa Romeo’s Stelvio and Giulia, and the Maserati Quattroporte.
In the US, the Charger Daytona EV is available in the 496bhp R/T and the 670bhp Scat Pack, with the latter aiming for a 0-60mph time of 3.3 seconds.
The Charger Daytona EV boasts a 100.5kWh battery with a 550kW peak discharge rate, enabling the Scat Pack to complete a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds.
A more powerful Charger SRT Banshee with an 800-volt system is also planned.
The Charger R/T comes with a range of 308 miles, while the Scat Pack offers 241 miles – with fast charging able to top up the battery from 20 to 80 per cent in 27 minutes.
Bizarrely, despite being an EV, the Charger will feature a ‘Fratzonic Chambered exhaust system’ – which is meant to mimic the sound of a Hellcat.
The Scat Pack also includes Donut and Drift modes, along with Track and Drag modes.
Meanwhile, the petrol-powered Charger Sixpack uses a 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder ‘Hurricane’ engine – with 420bhp and 550bhp versions.
The overall design of the car is influenced by the 2022 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept, which itself was inspired by the second-gen Charger and the Charger Daytona.
Its bold look includes a rising beltline, pronounced rear quarter panels, slim grille, R-wing front design, full-width front light bar, and red LED tail-lights.
For long-time fans of the model, the historic triangular Fratzog logo, which was used from 1962 to 1975, will return on the new model.
In terms of pricing, the R/T version starts at $59,995, which is £48,895, while the Scat Pack comes in at £58,427.
Further details of any potential UK launch are expected in the Spring.
