Police have arrested three persons in connection with the December 9 murder of Beed sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh. The two main accused were nabbed from Pune, and another from Kalyan. Seven individuals have been arrested so far, with one more still at large. Deshmukh was killed for trying to stop an extortion bid on an energy firm.
