Southeast Portland pet store robbed at gunpoint, suspect at large

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Police are investigating after a Southeast Portland pet store was robbed at gunpoint late Thursday afternoon, with the suspect still at large.
At around 4:45 p.m., a 911 caller reported the employees of Personal Beast pet store had been robbed, with the suspect hitting one employee with a pistol, then firing a shot.
Officials said the suspect had already left the store before police were dispatched.
No one was shot, but the employee who was pistol-whipped by the suspect refused medical treatment, authorities said.
