Delhi Meerut Rapid Rail: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Delhi section of the rapid rail on January 5th. This stretch includes stations at Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar. The operational length will increase to 55km. Anand Vihar will become a major transit hub. Trial runs began in October. Future expansions are planned.
