Jeremy Strong Has Abandoned the Broutfit
Is Jeremy Strong giving us the visual proof of concept we need for a hot Gumby movie? Is he publicly declaring his stance as Team Elphaba? Has he finally gotten back in touch with joy? All of the above, and he isn’t wearing his signature broutfit. (That is, a brown outfit.) Instead, he showed up to the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet in a velvet seafoam green suit, complete with matching sunglasses and a bucket hat. Please take a moment to appreciate Jeremy Strong’s broutfits of the past.
Okay, moment over. Feast your eyes on this gruit! (Green suit.)
Before the show, Strong ran into fellow nominee Andrew Scott who also happened to be wearing a monochromatic ensemble. There appears to be a bit of discrepancy on whether Strong’s suit is technically green or blue. (It’s definitely green.) In a red-carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Scott and Strong describe their coincidental coordination as “the colors of the sea,” “maritime chic,” and part of a “pastel universe,” all of which would make phenomenal names for a dramedy about two men who dress well.

Strong is nominated for his performance as Roy Cohn, Trump’s former lawyer, in The Apprentice. Win or lose, one can only hope he keeps the bucket hat on for the duration of the evening.
