Nothing Can Disrupt Lauren Sánchez’s Sunbathing
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez did not ring in the New Year with an Aspen wedding that cost half a billion dollars, as some of the tabloids had speculated. Instead, Sánchez spent her New Year’s Eve sunbathing on her fiancé’s yacht just outside of St. Barts, only to have the ship be boarded by customs officers who spent three hours conducting a search. Happy New Year!
“Page Six” obtained photos of what they referred to as a “surprise raid,” which a source told them was considered “routine.” In the photos, Sánchez can be seen lounging on the yacht’s deck with her friends (her ex-boyfriend/father to her son/best friend Tony Gonzalez was also aboard the ship), completely undisturbed by the uniformed men arriving via dinghy. The more the merrier, I guess.
But where was the future Mr. Lauren Sánchez? Well, it seems like Bezos wasn’t on the yacht while it was getting raided. Or at least he wasn’t photographed. It’s possible that he was just inside doing … whatever it is that CEOs do all day (emails? Phone calls? Looking at charts?). Or maybe he stayed in Aspen. The couple might not have gotten married over the holidays, but they did spend an evening partying in the VIP section of Kemo Sabe, that cowboy-hat store the Real Housewives adore.
Seems like the happy couple had a relaxing break, even if it included a minor raid — now Sánchez can return to her wedding Pinterest with fresh eyes.
