Blake Lively's Lawyers Release New Statement, Slam Justin Baldoni's Team for 'More Attacks' Since Her Filing
Blake Lively‘s legal team is speaking out in a new statement that was released on late Monday night (January 6) amid “more attacks” from Justin Baldoni‘s team.
The legal fight between the actors stems from their time together on the set of the movie It Ends With Us. Months after rumors swirled that there was drama between the co-stars, Blake filed a legal complaint accused Justin of sexual harassment and a smear campaign against her. The contents of her complaint were first unveiled in a New York Times article.
Moments after it was revealed that Justin filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against the Times, Blake‘s team announced that she had moved forward with an official lawsuit against Justin and his production company Wayfarer Studios.
Justin‘s lawyer spoke out the other day and vowed to file a lawsuit against Blake and release every text message ever sent between the two stars.
Now, Blake‘s team says that they’ve experienced attacks from Justin‘s team in the week since the filing.

Blake‘s lawyers said on Monday (via People):
- “This is not a ‘feud’ arising from ‘creative differences’ or a ‘he said/she said’ situation. As alleged in Ms. Lively’s complaint, and as we will prove in litigation, Wayfarer [Studios] and its associates engaged in unlawful, retaliatory astroturfing against Ms. Lively for simply trying to protect herself and others on a film set. And their response to the lawsuit has been to launch more attacks against Ms. Lively since her filing.”
“Sexual harassment and retaliation are illegal in every workplace and in every industry.”
“A classic tactic to distract from allegations of this type of misconduct is to ‘blame the victim’ by suggesting that they invited the conduct, brought it on themselves, misunderstood the intentions, or even lied. Another classic tactic is to reverse the victim and offender, and suggest that the offender is actually the victim. These concepts normalize and trivialize allegations of serious misconduct.”
“Most importantly, media statements are not a defense to Ms. Lively’s legal claims. We will continue to prosecute her claims in federal court, where the rule of law determines who prevails, not hyperbole and threats.”
