“I’d of brought it at £24.50, it’s cleaned up lovely as well.”
They urged other shoppers to check the Dunelm clearance section for similar deals.
A photo shared by the shopper showed other items also labelled with yellow clearance stickers.
One social media user commented: “Lovely bargain it’s amazing what you find when you have a good look well done.”
Another said it was a “brilliant buy” but complained there was “never anything in our nearest [Dunelm]”.
A third said the original price of £125 was “a lot of money” but the huge discount was “worth it”.
The storage pouffe is currently still selling online for £125, so is only reduced in stores.
It’s always best to phone ahead to your local store to make sure it has stock in.
Dunelm describes it as a “comfortable seating experience, perfect for relaxation or additional seating”.
It says it “adds a touch of sophistication to any room” and has a “cleverly concealed storage compartment”.
The storage pouffe is 39cm tall and 70cm wide and comes in the colours Ivory, Luna Natural and Faux Leather Tan.
It’s possible you may not find this specific item in the clearance sale in your local store, but there are always other bargains to be had.
Stock availability can also vary depending on the store.
Stores might discount some items to clear old stock from their shelves, or if the item appears damaged or defective.
In some cases, like this one, the item might be dirty but will look good as new after a clean.
It’s worth noting that usually if you buy something with a known fault, you won’t be able to return it for that reason.

How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
