Motorist dead after hitting concrete barrier on Edens in Northfield
A driver was dead after striking a concrete barrier Tuesday morning on the Edens Expressway in suburban Northfield.
Around 7:10 a.m., the driver was on Interstate 94 just north of Winnetka Road when they struck a concrete barrier, Illinois state police said.
The driver was taken to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead, state police said.
No lane closures were reported and state police did not give a cause for the crash.
