WBSC Africa President Albert K. Frimpong was presented the Grand Medal Award by the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, on December 30, 2024, for his outstanding contribution to developing baseball, softball and Baseball5 in Ghana.
"My first thanks goes to God Almighty," commented Frimpong on Facebook. "Then my mother Vida, my wife Thelma, my daughter Telsa, my twin sister Alberta, and brothers Henry, Julius, and Ray Frimpong. Then, my close friends and cousins Toni Montana and Eddie Achana who went with me. And to all who have been impacted by my service to Ghana and African sports, this award is for you all."
