LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - On Tuesday, Jan. 7, Louisiana is remembering, Martin “Tiger” Bech, a victim of the Jan. 1 attack on Bourbon Street.
Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry declared a period of mourning ordering that all flags over state buildings be flown at half-staff.
Bech is remembered as a Lafayette native who played football at St. Thomas More High School and Princeton University as a receiver and kick returner and worked at Seaport Global Holding LLC.
In Sunday’s news conference, Landry quoted his brother Jack who said ” I can’t wait to show you the big things I would do in this world to tell my kinds about you and the man you shaped me to be.”
“Evil will not prevail,” said his mother Virginia.
