Elisa says its data cables have been fixed after damage caused by Eagle S

ELISA on Tuesday reported that two of its submarine data cables have been repaired after the damage caused presumably by Eagle S, a Cook Islands-flagged oil tanker that is part of the shadow fleet of Russia, on Christmas Day.

Telepaatti, a Finnish cable layer, was dispatched to repair the cables on Thursday, 2 January. The vessel has since moved on to start repairs on another data cable damaged on the same day.
